Under the deal, BCBS of Arizona will acquire Steward Health Choice Arizona. The Steward Health subsidiary includes the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System Complete Care plan and the Generations Medicare plan for dual-eligible special needs members.

The organizations expect the transaction to secure all regulatory approvals. The Steward Health Choice plans will remain stand-alone operations, and leadership will stay the same.
