Curative, a startup health insurance company, is expanding its offerings to 20 counties in the Austin and San Antonio, Texas, regions.
The company is also adding level-funded plans throughout Texas on top of its full insurance options, according to a March 22 news release.
The company plans to expand its full insurance offerings through all of Texas in the future, according to the release.
Curative, founded as a COVID-19 testing company in 2020, pivoted to offering health insurance plans in the Austin, Texas, area in 2022.
Curative founder and CEO Fred Turner told Becker's Curative uses a "Netflix" model — members pay for a "subscription" in premiums and have access to care with no cost-sharing.
