On Jan. 15, Heal said it will be expanding into the Atlanta region. The startup allows users to order a physician visit through Heal’s smartphone app or website, and sends a physician to the user’s home within two hours. The service is offered from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
Physicians can provide vaccines, sutures, ultrasounds, EKGs, and ear and eye exams, the company’s CEO, Nick Desai, told WABE. Heal has provided 100,000 house calls since its launch in 2015.
In addition to Aetna, Heal visits are covered by Medicare, according to the report.
