SCAN Health Plan seeks Texas, Nevada expansions

Nonprofit Medicare Advantage insurer Senior Care Action Network Health Plan is planning to expand into two Texas counties next year, pending regulatory approval from CMS.

If approved, SCAN Health Plan will offer Medicare Advantage plans in Harris and Bexar counties, according to an Aug. 4 health plan news release. It will also grow its existing presence in Nevada by expanding into Nye County.

The insurer has 270,000 members in California, Nevada and Arizona, according to its news release.
