The breach happened Dec. 16, 2021, and the hacker had access to patient data including names, dates of birth, addresses, contact information, and some claims and medical data. Social Security numbers were not accessed.
So far, there is no indication the information was misused.
Upon learning of the breach, Priority Health locked member accounts for several days and then required password resets. It has also since implemented multifactor authentication on all accounts.
The payer has also offered impacted members two years of identity theft protection.
