New York is home to the largest Dominican population in the world outside of the Dominican Republic, allowing New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell to provide care to entire families in New York or abroad, according to a May 12 press release.

Northwell and Seguros Reservas signed a direct services agreement that allows for Seguros Reservas members with a JUST plan to travel to any Northwell hospital for treatment.

“Northwell Health is very pleased to do business with Seguros Reservas to provide the highest level of medical care for JUST members in the Dominican Republic,” Joseph Leggio, executive director of international services for Northwell Health, said. “This allows Northwell Health to continue our mission of improving health around the world.”

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
