The National Committee of Quality Assurance launched a health equity resource center online to help payers and hospitals address health equity, according to a March 9 press release.

The website provides research from the NCQA and whiteppaers that detail how health equities affect patients and suggest best practices for overcoming them. It also has detailed sections, each aimed at a different type of healthcare organization, from payers to healthcare providers. The resource center will be continually updated to reflect changes in research and recommendations.

“The Health Equity Resource Center is another step in the journey NCQA started a decade ago to help organizations measure and deliver equitable, high quality care,” said NCQA President Margaret E. O’Kane in the release. “These tools enable organizations to assess and improve the care they provide, so that quality care can become the norm for everyone in America.”
