CMS announced its redesigned ACO model Feb. 24 — a move to refine the model rather than entirely replacing it — after receiving stakeholder feedback. The model will go into effect in 2023.
The group will produce webinars, in-person events, and digital resources for providers on the new model. The coalition will also advocate to continually improve the model.
“The ACO REACH Model is a positive step on the important journey to value-based care and will support CMS’ work to have all Medicare beneficiaries in an accountable care relationship by 2030,” said Clif Gaus, NAACOS president and CEO. “The new ACO REACH Coalition will help drive model participation and ensure REACH will be the next in a growing line of successful accountable care models.”
At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
