The Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance anticipates 37,160 individuals insured through Affordable Care Act marketplace plans will lose coverage for 2017.

The coverage gap stems from health insurers exiting or scaling back from previously serviced areas in the state. Affected policyholders will face auto re-enrollment if they do not purchase coverage when open enrollment commences Nov. 1.

The OCI will hold enrollment information sessions throughout the state between Oct. 25 and Nov. 11.
