Molina Healthcare of Florida suspends prior authorizations during Hurricane Ian

Molina Healthcare of Florida is suspending prior authorization requirements to assist members and providers affected by Hurricane Ian.

The payer is waiving the prior authorization requirements for all prescription and medical services until the state of emergency declared by Gov. Ron DeSantis is lifted, according to a Sept. 28 news release from Molina. 

Molina is also covering medical services regardless of participation status in provider networks and is contacting hisk-risk members to ensure needs are met, according to the release.
