Missouri Care signs contract with SSM Health to provide Medicaid coverage

Columbia-based Missouri Care, part of Tampa, Fla.-based managed care provider WellCare, signed a contract with St. Louis-based SSM Health that includes in-network access for Missouri Care’s HealthNet Managed Care Members.

The agreement grants in-network coverage at SSM Health’s academic medical centers, community hospitals, urgent care facilities, ambulatory care centers and other facilities affiliated with the health system. Additionally, physicians in contract with SSM Health will be in-network.

The new contract expands access to more than 75 health locations and 3,000 providers, with expertise in more than 100 specialties

“Our members’ health is our first priority, and our focus is ensuring they get the right care at the right time, in the most appropriate setting. Our partnership with SSM Health will help deliver cost-effective health care solutions for our members,” Lou Gianquinto, president of Missouri Care, said.
