In an Aug. 2 release, the Department of Justice said Joy Beth Harden, 51, submitted fraudulent bills to Medicare for durable medical equipment that never saw patient use.
The bills were submitted on behalf of her business, publicly named Duracare Home Medical Equipment.
The fraud scheme spanned from 2016-18. The Justice Department did not release how much money Ms. Harden collected, and she’s scheduled for sentencing Nov. 23, facing up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
