New Hampshire’s insurance commissioner is warning that some seniors in the state will have little to no access to Medicare Advantage in 2026 as insurers exit the market, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported Sept. 10.

“From what I am observing the Medicare Advantage market as it exists today is collapsing. There will be fewer players in that market, there will be fewer offerings,” Insurance Commissioner D.J. Bettencourt told state lawmakers, per the news outlet. “There will be more than one (leaving) and there will be names that you recognize that pull out of the market entirely.”

Elevance, Martin’s Point, UnitedHealthcare, WellSense, Aetna and Humana currently offer MA in the state.

In July, New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte signed a bill that requires insurers to notify the state’s insurance department at least 90 days in advance before exiting an MA market.
