Humana’s New York product is the lowest-ranked Medicare Advantage plan for member satisfaction this year in JD Power’s 12th annual MA study.

The consumer insight firm published its rankings of the top MA plans in 12 markets on Aug. 18. The study surveyed more than 14,500 enrollees and evaluated plans on eight factors, including level of trust, ability to get health services when and how members want, helping save time or money, product and coverage offerings, ease of doing business, customer service representatives, problem resolution and digital channels.

The average member satisfaction rating for MA plans in 2026 was 611 on a 1,000-point scale, down 12 points from 2025 and down 41 points from 2024. The highest rated plans for 2026 are here.

Satisfaction dropped across all dimensions of the member experience, with the largest two-year declines in areas tied to helping members save time and money, level of trust and whether coverage offerings met member needs. Fewer than half of plan members said they strongly agreed their plan is a trusted partner in their health and wellness. High-performing plans distinguished themselves through stronger new-member onboarding and communication, while special needs plans delivered higher satisfaction and trust scores overall.

Editor’s note: Cigna sold its Medicare business to Health Care Service Corp. in 2025.
