Florida payer picks up third 5-star Medicare Advantage plan after CMS recalculation

Longevity Health has earned a 5-star Medicare Advantage rating for its New Jersey Institutional Special Needs Plan, giving the payer its third 5-star contract following CMS’s recalculation of 2026 star ratings.

Longevity’s I-SNP plans in Illinois and North Carolina also earned the top rating for 2026.

The recalculation stems from a lawsuit Clover Health filed against CMS in November, alleging the agency’s star ratings methodology for 2026 improperly included 20 measures and cost the insurer roughly $120 million in missed bonus payments. A federal judge in Georgia ruled in Clover’s favor in late May, leading CMS to say June 17 that it would voluntarily recalculate star ratings for other plans as well.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
