Trillium Community Health Plan, a Centene subsidiary, will take over PacificSource’s Medicaid population in Oregon’s Lane County, according to statements shared with Becker’s Oct. 17.

In September, PacificSource decided not to renew its Medicaid contract, affecting about 92,000 people in Lane County. Trillium currently serves another 36,000 people in the county. The Oregon Health Authority said it will allow the coordinated care organization to handle all Oregon Health Plan members next year.

The Oregon Health Authority is negotiating with PacificSource on the possibility of continuing to work in the area until Feb. 1 to give members at least a 90-day transition period.

“Trillium is honored that the state of Oregon has recognized our commitment to providing high-quality care by selecting Trillium to serve additional Oregonians,” a Trillium spokesperson said. “We are collaborating closely with the Oregon Health Authority, who have affirmed our capacity and readiness to meet the needs of these additional members, to ensure a smooth transition of care. We look forward to continuing to strengthen and expand our partnerships with providers and community organizations to support the health and well-being of our members.”
