Government Accountability Office head Gene Dodaro appointed four new members to the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission May 2.
The commission was established in 2009 to review Medicaid and CHIP access and payment policies and to advise Congress on issues affecting the programs.
Joining the commission are:
1. Partnership HealthPlan of California COO Sonja Bjork
2. Milliman principal and consulting actuary Jennifer Gerstorff
3. University of Utah’s Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics chair and Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital CMO Angelo Giardino, MD
4. Providence Population Health Management President Rhonda Meadows, MD
Mr. Dodaro also reappointed two members to the commission:
1. Georgetown University Center for Children and Families fellow and McCourt School of Public Policy professor Tricia Brooks
2. Massachusetts Disability Policy Consortium researcher Dennis Heaphy
Terms run through April 2025 for all six members.
