LTC ACO, an accountable care organization for long-term care residents, will be a strategic sponsor of the Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care.
The ACO's sponsorship will fund research, workforce development and education, training and professional development initiatives for post-acute and long-term care practitioners, according to an Oct. 18 news release shared with Becker's.
The Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine provides education, training and clinical resources for post-acute and long-term care settings.
"Signing on as a corporate sponsor of the PALTC Foundation aligns with our mission to dramatically improve the quality and cost of healthcare delivered to Medicare beneficiaries residing in long-term care facilities," Jason Feuerman, president and CEO of LTC ACO, said in the news release. "This presents an opportunity for us to leverage our expertise, resources and data-driven insights to advance care delivery within the PALTC industry."
LTC ACO is the first accountable care organization dedicated to long-term care residents. The ACO began participating in the Medicare shared-savings program in 2016 and has grown by 140 percent over the past two years. It assumes risk for nearly 20,000 Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries, the largest ACO of its type.
