Jefferson Health expands network contract with Humana

Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health entered into a participation agreement with Louisville, Ky.-based Humana. The agreement will expand the health system’s Medicare Advantage network plan, providing healthcare access to nearly 9,000 Humana Medicare Advantage members, according to Digital Journal.

The contract will officially add Philadelphia-based Aria Health and Bensalem, Pa.-based Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital to the agreement and will provide expanded access to Humana Medicare Advantage members in HMO, PPO and network private fee-for-service plans. The agreement will take effect Jan. 1, 2017.

“By expanding Jefferson Health’s participation with Humana to include Aria Health and ROSH, we have ensured that Humana’s Medicare Advantage members will have access to Jefferson Health’s care across our health system and in their communities,” said Jefferson Health Chief Medical Officer Anne Docimo, MD.
