In November, the Wall Street Journal reported that Cigna and Humana were “in talks” to merge by the end of 2023, which was called off by December.
According to the filing, Humana CEO Bruce Broussard could earn $44.7 million if a change of control in the company occurred or he left the company. The payment would include $25 million in accelerated restricted stock units, $11.3 million in severance pay, $3.8 million in supplemental retirement benefits and $3.3 million in vested stock options.
