Humana, Longevity Health Plan partnering on new Medicare Advantage special needs plans

Humana is launching new Medicare Advantage special needs plans with Longevity Health Plan in South Carolina and Georgia.

According to a May 4 news release, the companies plan to expand the partnership to five more states in 2024.

The new special needs plans will be designed for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries living in skilled nursing facilities or senior living facilities.

Longevity Health Plan provides personalized institutional special needs plans for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries by collaborating with skilled nursing facilities on patient care.

In the news release, George Renaudin, Humana's president of Medicare and Medicaid, said the partnership with Longevity will allow Humana to provide care for members in the facility where they live.

"These individuals have unique care needs, and this expands our ability to offer them the best care possible in a way that is better for the member's health and in an environment that is more engaging and comfortable for their loved ones," Mr. Renaudin said.
