Humana has launched its Medicaid business in Virginia.
Virginia Cardinal Care beneficiaries can now select Humana as a Medicaid managed care plan, according to a July 2 news release. The state selected Humana as one of five insurers in 2024 to manage its Medicaid program.
Humana offers Medicaid plans in nine states. The insurer plans to continue to grow its Medicaid business, CEO Jim Rechtin said at the company’s investor day in June.
