According to a March 29 news release, Humana will also provide $3 million to support the Jefferson Collaborative for Health Equity.

Humana’s endowment will create three health-equity focused faculty positions at the university: the Humana Deanship in the College of Population Health, Humana Professorship of Community Health and Equity, and Humana Chief Community Health and Equity Officer, each focused on improving population health and advancing health equity in the region.

Thomas Jefferson University is part of Jefferson, which also includes Jefferson Health and nonprofit health plan Health Partners.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
