Humana is expanding its Medicare Advantage plans to four counties in the Baltimore area and adding the University of Maryland Medical System to its network, the payer said Oct. 11.
Humana Medicare Advantage plans will be available in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford and Howard counties and in the city of Baltimore in 2023.
Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System's 11 hospitals and 4,300 providers will also be in-network for Humana Medicare Advantage members in 2023, according to a news release.
"We're thrilled to once again expand our footprint in Maryland by adding another affordable health plan offering to Medicare beneficiaries living in the Baltimore area," Mike Bowersox, Humana Mid-Atlantic Medicare president, said in the release.
Humana is also expanding Medicare Advantage plans to Rhode Island, the payer said Oct. 5.
