Louisville, Ky.-based Humana is once again delaying its return-to-office plans, which are now poised for early 2022.
Humana had initially planned a Sept. 7 return to in-person work, but then pushed plans back to Oct. 18. Now, the coronavirus delta variant has pushed back the deadline to at least Jan. 14, according to Louisville Business First.
The insurer is also delaying its employee vaccination deadline to "allow for more time to understand the implications of the Biden administration's vaccine plan introduced last week," Mark Taylor, Humana corporate and finance communications director, told Louisville Business First.
President Joe Biden's vaccine plan requires employers with 100 or more employees to ensure their staff are fully vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.
