David Jones, Humana's cofounder, is being memorialized in the company's home city of Louisville, Ky., by a statue created by locally admired artist Ed Hamilton, according to ABC affiliate WHAS11.
The sculpture, which will honor his success and philanthropy, will sit at the park beside one of Humana's offices in the city. Mr. Jones has helped support parks and other public projects in the city.
Mr. Hamilton, whose work dots Washington, D.C., and Louisville, grew up knowing Mr. Jones. He told WHAS11 that Mr. Jones was the embodiment of a "people person."
The sculpture was commissioned by Mr. Jones' family.
