AbsoluteCare is expanding to Pittsburgh in partnership with Medicare and Medicaid provider Highmark Wholecare, according to a Sept. 15 news release.
AbsoluteCare provides primary care to clinically complex and underserved populations on behalf of Medicare and Medicaid payers. The service also operates clinics in Atlanta, New Orleans, Baltimore and Philadelphia.
"At Highmark Wholecare, we are committed to coordinating healthcare that goes beyond doctors and medicine to deliver whole-person care to the communities we serve," Doug Doyle, vice president of network contract and development for Highmark Wholecare, said in the release. "It's important that our members have access to the best healthcare available, and our partnership with AbsoluteCare increases that ability."
The new AbsoluteCare clinics are expected to create around 80 jobs in Pittsburgh this year, according to the release.
