Under the agreement, women with Highmark health coverage will be able to deliver their babies at Magee-Womens Hospital if they learned of their pregnancies in 2014.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced the agreement. “Highmark will continue to cover pregnancy and related care at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC in 2015, despite it no longer being in [Highmark’s] network of providers,” he said in a release.
The agreement will be in place until the end of September, according to the report.
