Highmark Health confirms data breach affecting up to 67,000 people

Highmark Health confirmed a recent data breach of its computer network, according to a March 23 report from JD Supra

Details from the Pittsburgh-based healthcare organization are still forthcoming, but the breach exposed the sensitive information of as many as 67,147 individuals. The data breach law firm Console & Associates is investigating the breach on their behalf. The firm is also providing free consultations to affected individuals regarding identity theft protection and potential compensation from Highmark.

Highmark Health is the administrator of Highmark Health Plan, one of the nation’s largest Blue Cross Blue Shield payers.
