Health insurer stock report: Week of Aug. 14-18

Three of the five major commercial payers saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major commercial payers, Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna and Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna saw their share price increase 1.5 percent.

Here is how the five health insurers fared, as of Aug. 18. 

  • Aetna (Hartford, Conn.): $154.45 per share (up 1.5 percent)
  • Anthem (Indianapolis): $191.06 per share (up 0.9 percent)
  • Cigna (Bloomfield, Conn.): $177.07 per share (up 1.5 percent)
  • Humana (Louisville, Ky.): $246.00 per share (down 1.6 percent)
  • UnitedHealth Group (Minnetonka, Minn.): $190.80 per share (down 1.2 percent)
