Here is how much the CEOs at the six of the nation’s largest health insurance companies earned over the median worker’s salary in 2021, according to analysis from S&P Global released Aug. 19:

CEO-to-employee pay ratio: 379

2021 total compensation: $19.3 million 

2. Andrew Witty, UnitedHealth Group

CEO-to-employee pay ratio: 301

2021 total compensation: $18.4 million

3. David Cordani, Cigna

CEO-to-employee pay ratio: 297

2021 total compensation: $19.9 million 

4. Michael Neidorff, Centene 

CEO-to-employee pay ratio: 290

2021 total compensation: $20.6 million

5. Joseph Zubretsky, Molina Healthcare 

CEO-to-employee pay ratio: 278

2021 total compensation: $20 million

6. Bruce Broussard, Humana 

CEO-to-employee pay ratio: 255 

2021 total compensation: $16.5 million
