According to a Sept. 12 blog post from Ivor Horn, MD, Google’s director of health equity and social determinants of health, Google added updated features to help users find providers that accept Medicaid, a feature that already exists for Medicare.
Additionally, users who search for Medicare and Medicaid plans will see more information about eligibility requirements and how to enroll.
“People from all over the world use Google products and services to find information about their health needs and questions,” Dr. Horn said. “We work to make sure everyone can access authoritative information that is relevant and actionable based on those needs.”
