Aphora offers American patients the option to travel internationally to find cheaper healthcare, including consultation, facility selection and travel coordination, according to the report.
The company’s provider network includes hospitals in Thailand and Costa Rica; dental in Costa Rica and a specialty pharmacy in Canada. It is also looking to expand with providers in Grand Cayman, Barbados, and Turkey. The company is seeking a Series A funding round later this year, according to TriangleInno.
