Centene Charitable Foundation and Florida Blue have each pledged $1 million to the fund. Medicaid managed care organization Simply Healthcare pledged $350,000, and CVS pledged $100,000.
Other large backers of the fund include Walmart, at $1.5 million, and Amazon, which pledged $1 million.
Early estimates of the cost of the damage the hurricane caused range between $30 to $50 billion, Politico reported.
