Overall health premiums are set to increase an average 4.4 percent for 2017. However, under the formula determining government and employee premium cost share, the average employee share is increasing more than the government share.
About 4 million employees and retirees receive coverage under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. A total of 245 plans will be offered in 2017.
Open enrollment for FEHBP runs from Nov. 14 to Dec. 12.
