Better Solutions for Healthcare is adding AHIP, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and employer groups to its ranks as it takes its efforts to Washington.
The group, created in 2018, has lobbied for lower hospital costs at the state level for the past five years.
The association is taking its lobbying efforts to the federal level, adding the American Benefits Council, National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions, Public Sector Healthcare Roundtable and Business Group on Health to its ranks in addition to health insurers.
According to an April 18 news release, Better Solutions for Healthcare's policy aims include promoting competition between hospitals, greater enforcement of price transparency laws and site-neutral payments.
