Empire BCBS opens NYC community center to address health disparities

Empire BlueCross BlueShield HealthPlus opened a new community center in Flushing, Queens Sept. 9 to help combat health disparities and increase access to resources in underserved communities.

The center will include a range of information and resources around healthcare access, social and financial support and new technology, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.

The center is staffed by Empire employees and is now open to the public.
