Elevance is planning to expand its operations in Indianapolis by investing $11.9 million in two sites in the city, Inside Indiana Business reported Sept. 30.
Three notes:
1. Elevance, which is based in Indianapolis, will be investing in its Virginia Avenue headquarters, as well as a site on the city's southwest side that is currently a large logistics hub, according to the report.
2. Elevance signed a contract with the Indiana Economic Development Corp. and committed to adding 230 jobs by Dec. 31, 2025, according to the report. The company currently has 4,978 employees in Indiana. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has pledged $2 million in conditional tax credits based on the company's job-creation plans.
3. An announcement from Indiana Economic Development Corp. did not contain details on the building expansion or type of jobs that would be created, according to the report. Elevance did not immediately respond to a request from the news outlet requesting details.
