Marguerite Salazar, the state’s insurance commissioner, announced that all counties in Colorado will have at least one option on the exchange. However, because of the uncertain fate of cost-sharing subsidies, Ms. Salazar said she will consider allowing insurers to raise premium rates.
Though Colorado avoided the departure of any insurers, states such as Ohio and Missouri have had payers pull out from exchanges and leave dozens of counties without options for coverage. It is unclear how the potential passage of the AHCA will affect exchanges.
