CMS seeks public feedback on healthcare access, equity

CMS is seeking public input on challenges related to accessing healthcare and advancing health equity. 

In a Sept. 6 news release, CMS said its looking for public perspectives on how it can implement health equity and better support the populations it serves. 

"Advancing health equity is core work of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services," CMS Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure said. "That's why I am inviting stakeholders to help achieve our goal of an equitable and efficient health system, by working with us as we transform the healthcare experience for the individuals we serve." 

According to the release, the agency is seeking comments from any interested stakeholders, especially patients and their families, providers, clinicians, consumer advocates and healthcare professional associations. 

Comments must be received by Nov. 4.
