The extension period will allow CareSource Medicaid and MyCare policyholders undisrupted access to all Cleveland Clinic facilities.

“Both organizations are fully committed to ensuring Medicaid patients have access to the highest level of healthcare and continue to work together with the goal of finalizing a long-term contract by Dec. 1, 2017,” the companies said.

The contract extension arrives before a previous Aug. 31 expiration date
