Under the deal, reimbursement for Christiana Care providers will be linked to seven performance metrics aimed at improving quality and cutting costs. Most of the performance measures, which include 30-day hospital readmission rates, diabetes care and cancer screenings, come from the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set.
The partnership, which is retroactive to January 2018, will start with a data collection period for the organizations to establish baseline metrics.
