Centene wins 2-year contract to provide healthcare to Kansas inmates

Centene Corp. subsidiary Centurion won a contract from the Kansas Department of Administration to run healthcare services for inmates in the state’s correctional facilities.

The two-year contract is effective July 1, and includes the option to renew up to four years. Under the contract, Centurion will provide inmates medical, dental and behavioral health services at nine facilities in Kansas. 

Centurion also has contracts with the Delaware Department of Correction. 

The dollar worth of the contracts, if any, was undisclosed.
