ICHRAs allow a small group or employer to offer a defined contribution to employees to purchase health coverage on the ACA marketplace.

Small employers will also be able to access Indiana’s new tax credit incentive, according to a Nov. 30 news release. Beginning in 2024, Indiana will offer businesses with fewer than 50 full-time employees state tax credits of up to $400 per employee in year one and up to $200 in year two for offering arrangements like ICHRAs.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
