Centene to offer ICHRAs to Indiana employers

Centene's Ambetter Health is partnering with health benefits platform Take Command to offer individual coverage health reimbursement arrangements to employers in Indiana starting next year.

ICHRAs allow a small group or employer to offer a defined contribution to employees to purchase health coverage on the ACA marketplace.

Small employers will also be able to access Indiana's new tax credit incentive, according to a Nov. 30 news release. Beginning in 2024, Indiana will offer businesses with fewer than 50 full-time employees state tax credits of up to $400 per employee in year one and up to $200 in year two for offering arrangements like ICHRAs.
