Centene taps new CEO for New York subsidiary

Centene Corp., a health insurer, named David P. Thomas president and CEO for Fidelis Care, its New York subsidiary, after promoting Rev. Patrick J. Frawley senior vice president of social responsibility for the company.

Mr. Frawley joined Fidelis Care in 1996, and he oversaw the growth of the health plan across New York State. It serves 1.7 million members statewide. Centene acquired Fidelis Care for $3.75 billion in 2018.

Mr. Thomas joined Fidelis Care in 1999 and has held numerous leadership positions in strategic planning, development and operations, becoming president of Fidelis before his most recent promotion to CEO of the subsidiary and regional vice president of Centene.
