Centene's Missouri subsidiary Home State Health will be the sole provider of a specialty plan under the state's Medicaid program that serves about 40,000 foster children and children receiving adoption subsidy assistance.
The plan establishes a trauma-informed, comprehensive, integrated behavioral health and physical health delivery system for children in the custody of the Missouri Department of Social Services, according to a May 6 Centene news release. The plan also provides care for children receiving adoption subsidy assistance.
The contract is for one year with options for four renewals, according to the news release.
