Blue Cross partnership helps Medicare Advantage members apply for government aid

Philadelphia-based Independence Blue Cross is partnering with Uno Health to help enroll Medicare Advantage members into state and federal government programs.

Uno Health is a tech-enabled service that enrolls Medicare members into financial programs they’re eligible for through their insurance plans or physicians, according to a May 16 Independence Blue Cross news release.

The partnership will help Independence Blue Cross Medicare Advantage members enroll in programs such as Medicaid, SNAP and Lifeline, according to the news release.

Uno's platform simplifies complex eligibility rules, and the partnership could save Medicare Advantage members upwards of $2,000, according to Blue Cross.
