In May, the company’s letter-mailing system resent letters originally mailed to members between 2019 and 2021. Some of these letters were sent to outdated addresses.

None of the letters included Social Security numbers or bank account information, according to a July 25 news release from the company. The letters may have included members’ names, ID numbers, provider names, claims and other information.

BCBS Tennessee will provide free credit monitoring services to affected members, according to the release.
