BCBS Oklahoma names new president

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma has named vice president Stephania Grober as president of the organization, effective May 1.

Ms. Grober will replace Joseph Cunningham, MD, who will retire May 1, according to a March 31 news release from the insurer.

Ms. Grober joined Blue Cross Blue Shield in 1997 and has held roles in sales, account management and large group marketing positions. As president, she will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to accelerate local market growth and achieve membership and financial targets for Blue Cross Blue Shield Oklahoma. She will also oversee all plan operations, including sales and account management, government and public relations, provider network management and medical management.

"I look forward to working in close collaboration with providers, employers and other community partners in developing meaningful solutions that can help improve the delivery of healthcare for our members," Ms. Grober said. "During my time with BCBSOK, I have seen what a positive difference we can make in our members' lives, and I am excited to build on this momentum in expanding access to cost-effective care for Oklahoma's more than 875,000 members."
